Thoughtful Care, Built Around How You Move

At Cadence Physio & Rehab, we believe physiotherapy should be personal, intentional, and deeply rooted in understanding movement. Every body is different, and every story matters, which is why we take the time to listen, assess, and uncover the true cause of pain and dysfunction.

Our whole-body approach looks beyond isolated symptoms to understand how your body works as a system. Through detailed assessment, longer one-on-one sessions, and movement-based rehabilitation, we create thoughtful care plans designed to restore balance, improve strength, and deliver lasting results.

our story

Cadence Physio & Rehab was founded on a simple belief: physiotherapy should go beyond quick fixes and generic treatment plans. It should be thoughtful, personal, and built around truly understanding how the body moves.

After years of seeing patients cycle through short appointments, rushed assessments, and temporary relief, we knew there had to be a better way.

A way that gives people time to feel heard, properly assessed, and supported with care that looks at the full picture.

At Cadence, we help the painful area feel better while also looking at what may be contributing to it. Sometimes the area that hurts is the main issue. Other times, another area may be affecting how your body moves, loads, compensates, or recovers.

Our care is built around:

Detailed assessment.
Thoughtful treatment.
Education and exercise.
A plan that fits your body, your goals, and your life.

We’re a team of physiotherapists who believe good care means understanding the whole person — not just the symptoms.

Whether your pain is new, ongoing, or keeps coming back, our goal is to help you feel better, understand your body, and build confidence in what to do next

CADENCE Philosophy

Expert Care, Whole Body Approach, Designed for Lasting Change

We believe true recovery begins with understanding how your body moves – treating pain at its source, not just where it shows up.

See What Our Patients Say

  • It was a pleasure working with Brennan! This was my first time to experience dry needling, and it totally worked! I saw a great improvement in my mobility and alignment. I had other physiotherapy sessions that worked for the short term but dry-needling effects on my body is long-term. In terms of billing, I like the way it is handled virtually. The location of his clinic is easy to go to. Brennan is an expert in what he does! Always glad to refer him to my friends and acquaintances that need physiotherapy services. I wish you much success Brennan!

  • I can’t say enough good things about my experience with Brennan at Cadence. His expertise and deep understanding of the body helped me tremendously in recovery from a repetitive strain injury. Brennan evaluated several areas of the body and checked up chain rather than focusing on the injured area – this meant solving the root cause of my injury rather than just treating a symptom. I felt like my recovery was the top priority in my own experience at Cadence, and it is clear that Brennan provides that type of service for all clients. Brennan was prompt in communication and scheduling appointments was very easy. He worked with my WorkSafe case manager to get me the coverage I needed. I highly recommend Brennan and Cadence Physio to anyone looking for a physiotherapist!

  • 1 review I’ve been going to physiotherapists for 30 years now: Brennan is by far the best I have worked with. I agree with everything Glenice Wong had to say in their review but I would like to add: you do not need to suffer because you think “chronic pain is part of getting older” or “It’s just the way my body is.” No! Do yourself a favour and give your body the chance to be the way it could be. Sounds too good to be true doesn’t it. Sometimes letting go and doing less, but doing it better really helps.

  • After a hiking injury caused some left knee pain that was bad enough I thought I would need surgery, I was recommended to Brennan at Cadence. Through his treatments and exercise program I am now pain free and able to exercise and hike normally again! Would (and have) recommend Brennan to anyone who will listen!

  • I am beyond grateful for Brennan at Cadence Physio! He’s truly a miracle worker who is the reason I’m recovered from a musician’s overuse injury which has limited me for 10 years. In the first session, Brennan instantly noticed that my lats were habitually tight, which was the key to my chronic fatigue and nerve symptoms. After one session, I experienced so much relief and transformation that I actually felt a bit nauseous ? no fault of his, but because my body was so acclimated to holding that constant tension. I couldn’t believe that despite all these years of seeing different professionals (physio, massage, Alexander Tech) I hadn’t figured out a lasting solution, to the point of accepting my injury was likely forever! Over the next few months, Brennan helped me strengthen opposing muscles and unlock my shoulder mobility. What I appreciated about his approach was how attentive he was to what I was experiencing, and flexible to what goals I wanted to achieve during our sessions. For example, we shifted our focus from how I was playing my instrument to lifting weights for strength training. After a few months of sessions with Brennan, I am no longer worried about surviving another work week or rearranging my life around managing my symptoms. On top of that, I’m able to return to my passions in life and dive back into strength training – something that was previously a maddening experience of stop-and-go for the past several years.

Do you offer direct billing?2026-08-18T15:15:57-07:00

Yes, we offer direct billing to many insurance providers when available. Coverage varies by plan, so we recommend checking with your insurance provider if you have questions about what is included.

How Long Will It Take To Reduce My Pain?2026-08-18T15:15:57-07:00

Many patients experience noticeable relief within their first few sessions. However, because everybody moves differently, your exact timeline depends on whether your pain is from a sudden acute injury or a long-standing, chronic issue.

The Quick Fix: Our initial priority is always comfort, using hands-on therapy and targeted strategies to calm your nervous system and reduce immediate pain quickly.

The Lasting Result: True recovery takes a bit longer. Once the initial pain quietens down, we focus on rebuilding your movement patterns and strength, so the issue doesn’t return.

During your 60-minute initial one-on-one assessment, we will map out the underlying drivers of your pain and provide a clear, personalized treatment plan with a timeline tailored entirely to your goals.

Do You Treat Hypermobility?2026-08-18T15:15:57-07:00

Yes, absolutely. We have specialized clinical experience working with individuals navigating Hypermobility Spectrum Disorders and Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS).

Traditional, cookie-cutter physiotherapy protocols often miss the mark with hypermobile bodies because they focus too much on generic stretching. Our approach is entirely different:

Building Stability: We focus on precise joint stability and improving your body’s spatial awareness (proprioception).

Targeted Strength: We design custom, low-impact loading programs to strengthen the muscles supporting your lax joints.

Pacing & Support: We understand that hypermobile nervous systems can be sensitive, so we tailor our manual therapies and exercise progressions to ensure you feel safe, supported, and in control of your movement.

When the Pain Goes Away, Does This Mean I’ve Fully Recovered from My Injury?2026-08-18T15:15:57-07:00

Not necessarily. Pain is simply your body’s alarm system. When the pain fades, it usually means the immediate tissue distress or inflammation has calmed down—but it doesn’t mean the root cause is fixed.

Think of it like this: if you turn off a smoke detector, the underlying fire might still be smoldering. If you return to full activity the moment you are pain-free without addressing why the injury happened, your body will rely on old movement compensations, heavily increasing the risk of the pain coming right back.

Our job isn’t just to silence the alarm; it’s to fix the structural vulnerabilities, restore your full physical capacity, and prevent re-injury for the long term.

Does a Previous Injury Relate to My Current Pain?2026-08-18T15:15:57-07:00

Great question! Often the body is very good at compensating for previous injuries and so previous injuries can have a significant impact on your current discomfort. During your initial assessment, your physiotherapist will discuss your previous injury history and timeline to identify any connections between your past injuries and your present pain.

In order to determine the root cause of what’s currently going on, your physiotherapist will then complete a detailed assessment of the body including areas that are currently bothering you and areas that may have been involved in previous injuries.

The body is really good at compensating for previous injuries and sometimes old movement patterns continue to occur even after an injury has been healed. By assessing previous injuries, we aim to uncover the underlying cause of what’s driving your pain today.
